About Hooked Fisherman

We got tired of fishing content that was either clickbait or paid sponsorships dressed up as reviews. America has incredible fishing — stripers on the coasts, bass in rivers and reservoirs, world-class trout streams from Vermont to Montana — but finding honest, practical information was harder than it should be.

So we built Hooked Fisherman.

We cover waters across the country. We test gear before we write about it. We give honest opinions on spots without blowing up the good ones. We welcome anglers of every skill level — first cast to tournament competitor.

When we use affiliate links, we say so. When gear disappoints us, we say that too. If a spot is overhyped, we'd rather save you the trip than pretend otherwise.
