Contributor terms

These apply when you send us a fishing report. They are short on purpose.

What we are asking for

By submitting a fishing report you confirm it describes your own observations or those of your business, and that you have the right to share it.

The license you grant us

You keep ownership of what you send. You grant Hooked Fisherman a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, edit, summarize and publish your submission and your business name as part of our fishing reports, and to keep published reports available after you stop contributing.

Attribution

We credit the source of a report by name. We may also link to your website; that is our editorial choice and is not a condition of contributing.

Free Wayfinder access

Each report we accept gives you 30 days of free Wayfinder access, counted from the day we accept it. Access lapses if you stop contributing. We may decline a submission, and a declined submission does not extend access.

What we will not publish

We review every submission before publication. We may decline or remove anything we cannot verify, anything that names another business negatively, and anything that is promotional rather than a fishing report.

Ending it

You can stop contributing at any time and ask us to remove your contributor profile. Published reports and the attributions on them remain, as described above. We may end a contributor relationship at any time, and any remaining free access runs out rather than being cut off.
